Emergency services responded to a serious crash at around 1.40 pm in Dinsdale, Hamilton.
The crash occurred at the intersection of Whatawhata Road and Poaka Avenue.
One person sadly died at the scene following the incident.
Diversions were put in place for several hours while the Serious Crash Unit was notified.
No further information was given to thisquality regarding the circumstances of the crash.
