One person dead, two injured following fatal house fire in East Auckland

A person has died, and two others are injured after a fire in a house in Minerva Terrace at East Auckland’s Cockle Bay.

Emergency services were called to the fire at around 6:50 pm on Tuesday.

One person was being treated by St John ambulance while another person with minor injuries was also being treated.

The patients are being transported to Middlemore Hospital.

Rescue crews were searching the property for another person.

Police will be working with FENZ to determine the circumstances of the fire.
