One person has died following a serious crash in Tuai, Hawke’s Bay

One person has died riding a motorcycle after crashing.

The single-crash happened at around 11:30 am on SH38, Tuai, north of Wairoa.

Police have said to the press that the Serious Crash Unit attended the scene.

The Serious Crash Unit followed up with enquiries into the circumstances of the crash, as they were ongoing at the time.

At around 2:05 pm the road was re-opened to the public after previously being under stop/go traffic management.
