31-year-old Parone Tuhakaraina has active warrants for his arrest, and Police are wanting to find him within the Waikato area.
Last night a Police operation in Matamata linked a vehicle to the man after it was seen in the area.
Police stopped the vehicle at around 10.45pm. While the vehicle was stopped, a female driver was detained. A passenger thought to be Tuhakaraina switched seats to the driver's side and drove off.

Authorities deployed spikes which made the vehicle come to a halt after hitting a parked vehicle on Broadway. The driver got away on foot.
An extensive search was conducted by staff, including with a Helicopter, to locate the individual but was unsuccessful.
Tuhakaraina is considered dangerous and should not be approached.
