Police report a pedestrian was injured after being hit by a car in Wellington, Tuesday morning.
The person was struck on Main Road north of Victory Crescent in Tawa at around 8.40am.
It is believed that the car involved is a gold-coloured Daihatsu Charade. It did not stop after the incident and continued to drive northbound.

The injured person was transported to hospital after sustaining moderate injuries.
Authorities would like to hear from any witnesses to the incident or anyone who was in the area at the time who may have dashcam footage showing the car involved.
