Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault on a male in Bishopdate overnight.
At around midnight last night, emergency services were called to reports of an assault at a residential address on Newmark Street.
A male in critical condition was located sustaining severe injuries to his head. The male was taken to hospital.
Detective Mike Ford says Police are looking to speak with any witnesses.
“Police are looking to speak with anyone who saw what happened, or may have information that could be of use,” Mike Ford said.
“Police would also like to speak to the family and friends of the injured man.”
A scene examination was conducted at the address while further questioning took place.
