Police confirmed a young woman who went missing has been found dead near Alexandra, Otago.
Earlier, Southern District Police appealed for the public's help to locate 18-year-old Aqua Spiers.
Concerns were raised for her wellbeing and whereabouts at the time.
She was last seen on Sunday in the Alexandra area.
Her vehicle was found on Earnscleugh Road with her phone in it.
The death of Ms Spiers is not being treated as suspicious and was referred to the Coroner.
