Police are making enquiries into an incident that happened at a property earlier this afternoon where a firearm was discharged in Massey, West Auckland.
Armed Offenders Squad (AOS) members responded to the location given that firearms were involved.
Police were called to the Keegan drive property just before 12 pm; Cordons were in place on a section of Keegan Drive while AOS and Police cornered an address due to the firearms incident.
When AOS members approached the property, they took two people into Police custody.
St John emergency paramedics were on standby to assist Police, but there are no injuries to report.
West Auckland’s Lincoln Heights primary school, on Leisha Byrnes, Massey was put under lockdown after Police advised them.
Police are still working to ascertain the full set of circumstances of the earlier incident, and these enquiries will be ongoing this afternoon.
No charges have been laid at this point. Cordons are expected to be lifted in due course.
