Police revealed the name of a man who died in a light aircraft crash near Old Man Range near Alexandra in Central Otago.
His name was Phillip Gordon Pullar, aged 62.
The crash happened on February 3. Emergency services were notified of a beacon alert from the private aircraft at around 5:30 pm.

Rescue teams, including volunteers, found the aircraft at around 4 am.
The man was found deceased at the scene.
His death was referred to the Coroner.
