Wellington District Police have seized about 500g of methamphetamine, cash and a gun during a search warrant at a Martinborough property today.
The methamphetamine seized has a street value of approx $400,000.
A 25-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman were arrested today for possession of methamphetamine for supply and unlawful possession of a firearm. Both appeared in the Masterton District Court this afternoon.
Detective Sergeant Shaun Richardson says a seizure of this size will prevent considerable social harm.
“The amount of methamphetamine seized today was potentially destined for hundreds, if not thousands, of people. Police will continue to target those who seek to profit from the harm they cause, often to the most vulnerable members of our communities.”
