A man was found unresponsive in the water yesterday morning at Meola Creek, Westmore in Auckland.
Police said they are working to identify the body after it was removed from the scene.
The circumstances surrounding the man's death will be investigated and established to find out how he died.
Police are asking anyone who saw or heard anything unusual in the area overnight or in the morning to call them.
