Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern had gotten a Covid-19 test after coming down with a seasonal sniffle.
On Tuesday, she started feeling ill-like symptoms of the flu from her three-year-old daughter, Neve.
As a precautionary, she'd taken a test to rule out if it was the Coronavirus. The results returned negative.
Deputy Prime Minister Grant Robertson took over her duties for the day and acted for her during question time.
PM Ardern worked from the Premier House and undertook Government conferences over Zoom.
Parliament resumed this week following a two-week recess.
