The Queen called PM Jacinda Ardern last week for a chat and a check-up on how New Zealand is doing.

PM Jacinda Ardern described last week as ‘busy’ after not reminding herself to find a chance to pass on the special message.

“Her Majesty the Queen was kind enough to check in to see how New Zealanders have been doing as we finish off the year,” said Ardern.

The Queen wished everyone a wonderful Christmas break, before sharing a few memories during her time in New Zealand for the Christmas holiday season.

“It was really lovely,” said Ardern.
