A serious crash occurring near Queenstown closed Crown Range Road, Wednesday.
The crash involved a motorcycle near the Cardona Village at around 10.40am.
It was expected that the road will remain closed for several hours as emergency services remained at the scene.
Sadly, the motorcyclist died at the scene after crashing into a barrier.
The road reopened at around 5.00pm.
The Serious Crash Unit attended the scene and has undertaken a examination.
The cause of the crash will be investigated.
