Police continued its efforts on Tuesday to locate Salalene Asimotu, who was missing from the West Auckland area. The 32-year-old was reported missing from the Babich Road, Henderson area at around 9 am on Monday. Her last confirmed sighting was 2 am the same day.
Inspector Stefan Sagar, Area Commander for Waitematā West, says extensive enquiries have been conducted by Police in the area since Salaene was reported missing.
Police conducted area enquiries since yesterday and Search, and Rescue also was deployed into the area to assist.
“Eagle also conducted a number of aerial searches in the area yesterday afternoon. Salalene is visually impaired, and her current whereabouts still remain unknown.”
On Tuesday afternoon at around 2:00 pm, Waitematā Police announced to media that they could advise that the 32-year-old woman reported missing from Henderson on Monday has been located.
She was found safe and well by Police in the Henderson Valley area this afternoon.
Police would like to acknowledge the wider West Auckland community's assistance in their search.
