Authorities are taking further enforcement actions following an alleged illegal party gathering held at a property in the Redvale suburb of Auckland's North Shore.

A small number of people at the illegal gathering who ignored Covid-19 Alert Level 3 restrictions have been spoken to, while more are yet to be identified.

“Police have commenced issuing infringement notices to those identified as breaching Covid regulations,” a Police spokesperson said.

Six infringements have been given out by Police so far. One Youth Aid referral was made to those who were in attendance.

Further infringements are expected to be issued out to more individuals identified as involved.

Additionally, a 28-year-old man who is alleged as the organiser of gathering was issued a Court summons earlier in the week.

The man was charged with Failing to Comply with the Covid-19 Public Health Response (Alert Level Requirements) Order (No 12) 2021. He is due to appear in North Shore District Court on October 22.

“Police are advising those who were present at this gathering that rather than wait for Police to come to them, there is an opportunity to take accountability for their own actions and contact Police about this matter,” the Police spokesperson said.

“Police reiterate that we will not tolerate this type of breach of alert level restrictions and would like to thank those members of the public who reported the matter to us.”

Those that have not yet spoken to Police, and were at the party, are encouraged to contact them through 105 and quote file number 211017/9625.
