Thursday, three arrests were made in Christchurch to reduce the further spread of Covid-19 in the community.
Christchurch Police arrested three people involved allegedly in an anti-lockdown protest. A group of ten people gathered on the Bridge of Remembrance on Cashel Street just after 1pm.
They were encouraged by authorities attending the scene to comply with Alert Level 4 restrictions but failed to do so and were arrested as a result of refusing.
Two men ages 46 and 50 — a 56-year-old woman — charged with failing to comply with a direction during Covid-19 restrictions.
