There are three new cases of Covid-19 to report today in managed isolation, while three more have been reported as historical. None have been reported in the community.

The first new case arrived on April 20 from the United Arab Emirates. This person tested positive at around day 0 of routine testing and is now staying in a quarantine facility in Auckland.

The second new arrived on April 20 from Jordan via the United Arab Emirates. This person tested positive at around day 0 of routine testing and is now staying in a quarantine facility in Auckland. *This case is historical and not considered infectious.

A third reported case arrived on April 27 from the Philippines via Singapore. This person tested positive at around day 3 of routine testing and is now staying in a quarantine facility in Auckland. *This case is historical and not considered infectious.

The fourth reported case arrived on April 29 from Indonesia via Singapore. This person tested positive at around day 0 of routine testing and is now staying in a quarantine facility in Auckland. *This case is historical and not considered infectious.

A fifth new case arrived on April 30 from the United Arab Emirates. This person tested positive at around day 3 of routine testing and is now staying in a quarantine facility in Auckland.

Lastly, the sixth new case arrived on May 3 from the United States. This person tested positive at around day 0 of routine testing and is now staying in a quarantine facility in Auckland.

The total number of active Covid-19 cases is 25, as three have previously recovered. The total confirmed Covid-19 cases are now at 2,273. This is the number that the Ministry of Health reports to the World Health Organisation.

Laboratories have processed a total of 2,037,349 tests to date. On Tuesday, 5,424 were processed, while the seven-day rolling average up to yesterday is 4,164.

On the NZ COVID Tracer app, 2,809,553  users are now registered, recording a total of 262,182,989 poster scans. There have also been 9,812,177 manual diary entries done so far.
