Emergency services responded to a truck and trailer that rolled over on State Highway 57 near Palmerston North.
The crash happened on Fitzherbert East Road in Aokautere at around 2:15 pm.
The road remained closed for several hours while tow contractors were at the scene to right the truck.
Motorists were advised to delay travel or take alternative routes.
