Wednesday morning was immensely disrupted following an announcement made by the Ministry of Health that a Covid-19 positive case visited Wellington city.

An Australian traveller from Sydney visited the city from June 19 until June 21, returning a positive test result for the virus after going back to Australia.

It is believed the person contracted the virus in Sydney before coming to New Zealand.
