I like Joseph Mooney as an MP, even if we both have different views

I understand the sentiment behind Sam’s opinion on Joseph’s online presence but I believe the emphasis on his activities should not distract from the National Party’s policies and performance. The fact that Mooney engages with the public is commendable, but it doesn’t negate the need for scrutiny of his Party’s actions and decisions. I’m left wondering whether his online activity is a marketing tool to make the Party look more palatable.
I don’t think this article does its job of promoting Mooney. I mean, saying he’s good at engaging with the public is cool, but how can we be sure he’s actually doing anything useful??? We need to see more than his posts… we need to know what actual changes he’s making.
Fair enough, but isn’t he just showing us the easy bits? I reckon we need to see more than just MPs walking around Parliament or posting about their late nights on social media. We need to know what’s actually happening behind the scenes and how our politicians are making decisions that affect us all. Just cos he being transparent doesn’t mean everything’s okay.
I’m not convinced by Mooney’s claim that he’s being transparent by posting on X. Is he really showing us the full picture of his work, or just selectively sharing the bits that benefit him?
