Pedestrian killed after car mounts kerb in Forrest Hill crash

One person has died after a car mounted the kerb and struck pedestrians in Auckland’s North Shore yesterday morning.

Emergency services were called to William Souter Espresso on William Souter Street in Forrest Hill about 8.55am after reports of a serious single-vehicle crash.

A car left the roadway, mounted the kerb and hit two people before slamming into a nearby building.

One person was taken to hospital in critical condition but later died from their injuries.

Two other people were hurt in the incident. One was taken to hospital with moderate injuries, while another was treated at the scene.

The Serious Crash Unit is examining the site.
