Truck rollover blocks SH2 near Wairoa, livestock involved

State Highway 2 near Wairoa remains blocked following a serious crash involving an overturned truck late this morning.

Police were called to the single-vehicle crash about 10.40am, where a truck rolled on the highway. The driver was not injured, however livestock being transported in the vehicle were involved in the incident.

The crash forced the closure of State Highway 2 between Cricklewood Road and Kiwi Valley Road as emergency services managed the scene and recovery operations.
