Controlled burn-off fire sends smoke plumes over southeastern Dunedin

A controlled burn-off fire in the Ocean Grove–Tomahawk area sent plumes of smoke drifting across southeastern Dunedin.

The fire and plumes of smoke were visible from several parts of the city.

A spokesperson for Fire and Emergency New Zealand told thisquality the burn-off was controlled.

Residents in the affected area are advised to keep windows and doors closed due to smoke.
