I think the articel raises some strong points about how our local politics becomes a spiral once they hit a certain scale. Starts off as just some personal thoughts can suddenly blow up, specially when people on both sides feel attacked. That kind of pile-on is exactly what we seeing here. The piece doesn’t give answers (probly can’t) but it does open up space for more conversation. And if the goal was to get ppl thinking instead of just scrolling past, then yeah I’d say it worked.

Good write up overall. I liked how it didn’t just bash one side but showed how complicated things are in our politics. I am an avid watcher do not participate much but we are at stake here in wellywood such a shame some candidates are no good for our city. Tho ngl, Even if ppl don’t agree with every bit, it’s obvious what happened. We need more convos like this tbh.
So if Ray did actually assault someone the article reads something did happen but police did not say whether charges were laid or not. Good to know about this anyway…..

Even if I don’t agree with every point, the whole drama around Ray it opened my eyes to some things I never knew would be acceptable for a council candidate.
